Competitions - Showing
The SDHC prides itself on the diversity of interests
that it promotes in terms of driving disciplines, one of which is in the
show ring. We are holding two shows this year:
The first, The Members Show, is being held at Hayling Island on the
18th May. This is small, friendly show ideally suited to those new to
the showing world.
It has a number of classes
throughout the day and is aimed at introducing both members of the turnout
(human and equine) to the high expectations of the show ring. Many members
have gone on to win at Regional and National level, while others have
enjoyed the opportunity to "dip their toe" without feeling out of their
depth.
The second, The Open Show, is being held at the
Weald and Downland Open Air Museum,
Singleton. This show on the 27th July is
BDS Affiliated.
Although the schedule is yet to be confirmed, it should include Novice
classes, Exercise Vehicle Classes, Country classes, Young drivers, Private
Driving Classes, Osborne Qualifiers and Concours d'Elegance
