If you are a patient of one of our 19 member GP practices in Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford (and also in Bexhill for the Extended Access Service) – welcome!
The Extended Access Service that we deliver enables you to pre-book an out of hours appointment at one of our Hubs, although just at the moment during the Coronavirus pandemic, appointments are usually offered by telephone/video call unless you are advised that you need a face to face consultation.
Appointments are between 6.30pm – 8.30pm Mon-Fri; 8am-2pm Saturdays and 9am-1pm Sundays. You won’t necessarily speak with a GP from your own practice but the GP that you speak with will be fully qualified, will be able to access your notes and will be able to issue a prescription if needed. There are 2 ways that you can book an appointment:
- Call your usual GP practice and ask for an appointment in the Extended Access Service (this will usually be face to face but will be by telephone during the Coronavirus pandemic).
- Book a GP video call via LIVI. You will need to download the LIVI app on a mobile or tablet. Register, find your practice and you’re ready to go. You’ll need some ID (passport or driving licence) during registration. Then book your appointment – you can choose to see the next available GP or book up to 7 days in advance. You can usually speak with a GP in less than 30 minutes. The GP will call you in the app to start your appointment. You’ll get a reminder just before. It’s free to download the app and there’s no charge for the appointment either. LIVI GPs offer medical advice, prescriptions and referrals for a wide range of medical problems. If you need a prescription, this can be sent directly to a pharmacy for you.
