Proof of Vaccination

Neither we nor your GP practice can issue vaccination certificates.

Your COVID-19 vaccination status is available through the NHS App

Eligibility

• Adults aged 75 and over
• Residents in older adult care homes
• People aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed (as defined in the Green Book, Chapter 14a)

Attending Together

If one person has a booked appointment and both individuals are eligible, they can be vaccinated at the same session.

Walk-ins

Some clinics may offer walk-ins, but this is not guaranteed.
We reserve the right to refuse walk-in appointments at all clinics based on staff availability and vaccine supply. Patients with booked appointments will be prioritised.

Patient Specific Directions (PSDs)

Vaccinations will only be given to people who meet the national eligibility criteria.

If you believe you have a clinical reason to be vaccinated but do not meet the criteria, our nurses may not be able to vaccinate you on the day.

Please discuss this with the vaccinator at your appointment.

In some cases, and only after consultation with senior clinical leads, we may be able to issue a prescription.

Housebound and Care Home Vaccinations

South Downs Health and Care (SDHC) is not providing COVID-19 vaccinations in people’s homes or in care homes during the Spring 2026 programme.

If you are housebound , please contact your GP surgery for information on how your vaccination will be arranged.

Please ensure your contact details are up to date with your practice.

Children’s Clinics

We are not running children’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics this spring.

Eligible children will be able to book through the National Booking Service at participating regional sites once live.

Needle Phobia Support

If you or someone you support has a fear of needles, please let the vaccination team know in advance so we can make reasonable adjustments.

Feeling Unwell

If you have COVID-19 symptoms or a high temperature, please wait until you feel better before attending.

If you have recently recovered from COVID-19, you do not need to delay your vaccination.

UKHSA advises attending once you are well enough.
