After Vaccination
Great! You’ve had your vaccination!
Remember:
- You are not immediately protected. It takes around 2 weeks to get some protection.
- Continue measures to prevent spread of the virus. Even when you are protected, you may carry the virus without knowing.
- It is very important to get your second dose. You will be contacted when we can do this. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to our newsletter below so we can keep you informed.

You can also report side effects with the Yellow Card here
If you develop COVID-19 more than 10 days after your vaccination, a healthcare professional should report this to Public Health England so we can gain a better understanding of the effectiveness of the vaccine.
Your second dose is important and is likely to be about 12 weeks from the first dose. We will contact you nearer the time.
